Tallin, Estonia

Here's more pix from Fran.

He says, in reference to yesterday's post: What single girls?

The Aurora fired the signal shot that started the Bolshevik revolution in 1916 [?] 1917.

Wikipedia says, in part, "On 25 October 1917, the refusal of an order for the Aurora to take to sea sparked the October Revolution. At 9.45 p.m. on that date, a blank shot from her forecastle gun signalled the start of the assault on the Winter Palace, which was to be the last episode of the October Revolution. Aurora's crew actually took part in the attack.

And of course, me being a librarian, I'll provide a link to even more info about it:

Russian Cruiser Aurora

Here's some more from Tallin, Estonia. Below is the Tallin skyline.

And last pic for today, the Toompea castle.

The big colorful one in Fran's post below is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, he said in his e-mail.
